H2 — Major Section Heading
Body paragraph in Source Serif 4. This is the default text style inside .article-body. It runs at 17px on desktop, 16px on mobile, with 1.7 line-height. Keep paragraphs to 2–4 sentences. This is what most of your content looks like.
H3 — Subsection Heading
Use H3 under an H2 for subtopics. Never skip from H2 to H4. The theme styles H3 at 20px Outfit semibold on desktop, 18px on mobile.
H4 — Minor Point
H4 is rare. Use it when an H3 section needs internal subdivisions. Styled at 17px Outfit semibold.
Inline Text Styles
Regular text with bold for emphasis and italic for titles or nuance. Use internal links in crimson with descriptive anchor text — never “click here.” Inline code for technical terms like model numbers.
Links
Internal links go to other TheDartScout pages: best darts for beginners, tungsten vs brass darts, beginner’s guide to darts. They render in crimson with an underline. On hover they darken to crimson-dark.
Lists
Unordered list
- First item in the list
- Second item with more detail about something specific
- Third item — keep items to one sentence each when possible
Ordered list
- First step in a process
- Second step — numbered lists suit sequential instructions
- Third step — the theme adds proper spacing between items
Blockquote
Blockquotes get a crimson left border, cream background, and italic text. Use for pull quotes or key statements you want to highlight from the text.
Table — WordPress Block
WordPress block tables are wrapped in <figure class="wp-block-table">. The theme styles them with charcoal headers, alternating cream rows, and uppercase header text.
| Column A | Column B | Column C | Column D |
|---|---|---|---|
| Row 1 data | Row 1 data | Row 1 data | Row 1 data |
| Row 2 data | Row 2 data | Row 2 data | Row 2 data |
| Row 3 data | Row 3 data | Row 3 data | Row 3 data |
Table — Wide Scrollable (5+ columns)
For tables wider than the 680px content column, wrap in an inline-styled div. This scrolls horizontally on mobile without pushing the page wider.
| Player | Weight | Brand | Barrel Profile | Material |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Player Name | 23g | Brand Name | Torpedo, front-weighted | 90% tungsten |
| Player Name | 22g | Brand Name | Parallel, centre-weighted | 90% tungsten |

| Player Name | 18g | Brand Name | Front-loaded, tapered | 95% tungsten |
| Player Name | 32g | Brand Name | Tapered | 90% tungsten |
Image — Standard
Standard images get 8px border radius and vertical margin from the theme. Add descriptive alt text. The theme constrains width to the 680px content column.

FAQ Section
Use the RankMath FAQ block for schema markup. Each question is an H3, answer is a paragraph. RankMath handles the structured data automatically.
Affiliate Disclosure — In-Content
The template adds the disclosure automatically below the hero. But if you need one inline (rare), use this pattern:
TheDartScout earns a commission on purchases made through our links. Affiliate partnerships do not affect how products are tested, scored, or ranked.
Horizontal Rule
Use sparingly to separate major thematic shifts within a section. The theme styles it as a 1px light grey line.
Amazon CTA Button
Primary affiliate call-to-action. Use after product descriptions, inside product cards, and at the end of review sections. The arrow icon signals an external link. The PHP filter auto-adds the affiliate tag, nofollow, and target blank.
Full-width version (use inside product cards or on mobile-first layouts):
Secondary style (charcoal — use when two Amazon buttons appear near each other, e.g. UK alternative):
Product Card — With Badge
The main product block for roundups. Image left, details right. Badge is optional — use only for Top Pick, Best Value, or Budget Pick.
Designa Patriot X 90% Tungsten
A front-loaded torpedo barrel with razor-cut grip. Excellent control for pencil and claw grips.
Product Card — Without Badge
For non-winner products in a roundup. Same structure, no badge.
Harrows Wolfram Infinity
Straight barrel in 97% tungsten. Ultra-slim profile for tight grouping.
Pros & Cons
Two-column block with green checks and red crosses. Use in every product review section. Keep items to one sentence each. Aim for 3–5 items per side. The check and cross icons come from CSS — just write plain text in the list items.
What we liked
- Excellent grip texture — holds well even with dry hands
- Slim barrel makes tight grouping easier
- Strong case included at no extra cost
- Consistent weight across the set (within 0.1g)
Watch out for
- Grip wears smooth after 6+ months of heavy use
- Front-heavy feel may not suit lob-style throwers
- Only available in 22g and 24g
Verdict Box
Final recommendation with score. Use once at the end of a product review or at the bottom of each roundup section. Score is out of 10. Keep the verdict to 2–3 sentences.
THE VERDICT
Best all-rounder under £30
The Designa Patriot X punches well above its price. The grip and weight distribution suit most throwing styles, and the 90% tungsten keeps the barrel slim. Only loses points for limited weight options.
Spec Sheet
Technical specifications in a key-value format. Use in individual reviews to list all measurable details. Charcoal header, alternating row backgrounds.
