What the information on TheDartScout is — and what it is not. Please read this before acting on anything you find here.

Information Only

Everything published on TheDartScout is provided for general information and comparison purposes. It is written to help you understand darts equipment and make your own decision. It is not personalised advice, and it is not a substitute for handling equipment yourself or speaking to someone who has.

We Are Not a Testing Lab

TheDartScout is a research and comparison site, not a hands-on testing lab. We have not thrown every dart we write about, we do not run a physical test rig, and we do not measure barrels ourselves. Our comparisons are built from manufacturer specifications, verified professional player setups, player consensus and our own editorial judgment. Our full method is set out on the How We Research page.

Where a statement is our opinion or judgment rather than a documented fact, we say so. Where it comes from a specification sheet or a player’s published setup, we say that too.

Accuracy of Specifications and Prices

Product specifications are taken from manufacturer listings and major retailers, and they change. Manufacturers revise barrel profiles, alter tungsten percentages, discontinue ranges and re-release products under the same name. Prices move constantly, and the figures on this site reflect what we saw when the page was last updated.

We make a genuine effort to keep this accurate and we correct errors when we find them, but we cannot guarantee that every specification or price is current at the moment you read it. Always check the manufacturer’s or retailer’s own listing before buying.

No Guarantee of Results

Nothing on this site guarantees an improvement in your game. Darts performance depends on practice, technique, consistency and physical factors that no piece of equipment resolves on its own. A dart that suits one player’s grip and release may suit yours poorly. Treat our recommendations as a shortlist to consider, not a promise of a result.

Health, Injury and Physical Conditions

Some of our articles discuss subjects with a physical or psychological dimension — dartitis, throwing mechanics, repetitive strain, and the mental side of competition. We are not medical professionals, physiotherapists, or sports psychologists, and none of our content is medical advice.

If you are experiencing pain, persistent loss of motor control, or distress connected to your throw, consult a qualified healthcare professional. Do not rely on an article on this site in place of proper assessment.

Affiliate Relationships

TheDartScout earns commission on qualifying purchases made through some of the links on this site, at no additional cost to you. This funding does not change how products are researched, compared or ranked. The full detail is on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

External Links

We link to manufacturers, retailers, governing bodies and other darts resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination site.
